Sebastian C. Adams' Synchronological Chart is a single illustrated timeline more than 20 feet long, from the Creation to his own day. Digital files (PDF, ZIP and JPEG), sent by email right after payment. You print them yourself: no printed chart is shipped. The chart itself stays free to explore on adamschart.org.

Five ways to print it

1. The whole chart on 12 sheets

The easiest way: the whole chart on 12 landscape sheets of US Letter or A4, assembled into a 91 x 46 cm (36 x 18 in) chart in about a quarter of an hour, with little ink. Ideal for a family wall or a classroom.

2. Large format at home, panel by panel

96 sheets of US Letter (or A4 with "fit to page"), in ten files, one per panel. Each file opens with an assembly plan; the sheets are coded A1, A2, B1… and carry a glue strip that overlaps the next one. All ten panels share one scale: each assembled panel is 61 cm (24 in) tall, and the whole chart is about 5.8 m (19 ft) long.

3. At a print shop, panel by panel

One poster file per panel at 200 dpi, about 24 x 27 in: close to the 27-inch height of the printed fold-out chart. Ready for a copy shop's wide-format printer (panel 10, the longest, comes in two parts). Ask for a matte poster print at 100 %.

4. The whole chart on one poster

All ten panels on a single 36 x 18 in poster, in two rows of five with the dates of each panel: the whole stream of time at a glance, for a study wall or a classroom.

5. Full length, as a banner

The whole chart in one continuous image of 50,195 x 5,347 pixels: about 21 ft long and 27 in tall at 200 dpi, or half that size at 400 dpi, for a banner or roll printer.

What makes it different

  • One scale for all ten panels, so the printed panels join into one continuous chart
  • Sheets coded by row and column, with overlapping glue strips and trim marks
  • Files sized for a print shop, so you can order large prints without preparing anything
  • The whole chart on one poster, with the dates of every panel
  • A guide to printing, assembling and displaying the chart, and to reading it with the six rules of Colby's Key

Print and use

Print the files as often as you need, at home or at a print shop, for yourself, your household, your class or your church group, and display the chart wherever you teach or study. Please do not share the files or sell prints made from them.
